Bolivia, North Carolina, Feb. 8, 2017– Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center recently added the da Vinci Si robotic surgical system to its services. While urologic and gynecologic minimally invasive procedures became available with the installation of the medical center’s first da Vinci robot in 2012, this new da Vinci Si system gives patients a minimally invasive option for general surgery procedures as well.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Jan. 23, 2017 – Novant Health Miller Street Family Medicine will open their new clinic Jan. 18 located at 50 Miller Street, Suite G, in Winston-Salem. The clinic will hold an open house Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free screenings will be offered for body mass index, waist circumference, blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose and A1C. The public is invited to attend.

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 19, 2017– Novant Health Foundation Presbyterian Medical Center received a $350,000 grant from The Duke Endowment to fund a new dental clinic at the Charlotte Community Health Clinic (CCHC). The dental clinic will be located in the Leon Levine Opportunity Center at the new Goodwill Opportunity Campus on Wilkinson Boulevard. 

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Jan. 18, 2017 – Novant Health announces a new system service line cancer leader, Dr. Steven Limentani, effective Jan. 1, 2017.  Limentani will lead cancer services across the Novant Health system covering a four-state area including hematology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology and oncology research.

Clinicians who participate in APMs are paid for the quality of care they give to their patients.  APMs are an important part of the Administration’s effort to build a system that delivers better care and one in which clinicians work together to have a full understanding of patients’ needs. APMs also strive to ensure that patients are in the center of their care, and that Medicare pays for what works and spends taxpayer money more wisely, resulting in a healthier country.
