Matthews, N.C., Aug. 8, 2016 – Novant Health Matthews Medical Center has opened a brand new Women’s Center. The two-story, 26,000-square-foot addition links directly to the hospital and serves as a one-stop shop for the community’s maternity and gynecologic needs.

Bolivia, N.C., Aug. 2 – This year, Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center celebrates its fifth anniversary in the new facility and its 10th anniversary since joining Novant Health. 

Healthcare system generates more than 48,000 jobs and over $830 million in tax revenues in the state Winston-Salem, N.C., July 12, 2016 – Novant Health generated more than $7 billion of economic activity (output) in the state of North Carolina in 2015, according to a recently released economic impact analysis that was commissioned by Novant Health and completed by the Center for Healthcare Economics and Policy.

Novant Health has been recognized by the American Hospital Association for its adoption, implementation and use of information technology (IT) in the delivery of health care . The prestigious award is conferred to hospitals based on the annual Most Wired survey, an industry-standard benchmark study. The survey is designed to measure the level of IT adoption in U.S. hospitals and health systems, and is used as a tool for hospital and health system leadership to map their IT strategic plans.

Haymarket, Va., July 6, 2016 – This year, Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center is celebrating its second anniversary. 

Charlotte, N.C., July 1, 2016 – The first class of resident physicians begins its three-year extensive training in family medicine at the Novant Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic in Cornelius, North Carolina. The class of four female and two male providers will complete the training with rotations in community clinics as well as at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center, Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center and Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital.

Bolivia, N.C., June 29, 2016 – Novant Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Candice Sieben to Novant Health Family & Internal Medicine South Brunswick. Sieben joined the clinic in June and is accepting new patients.

Novant Health Foundation Presbyterian Medical Center received a $46,500 grant from the Colon Cancer Coalition to fund colon cancer screenings and to provide financial support to patients fighting colon cancer.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Michael Arno has been named interim president of Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center (NHTMC). Arno brings more than 20 years of leadership experience with community hospitals and healthcare systems.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Kirsten Royster has been appointed the new president of Novant Health Medical Park Hospital. She has nearly 20 years of experience in a variety of hospital and medical group roles, including vice president of the Heart & Vascular Institute at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
