New surgeon joins Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Brunswick

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Benjamin Browning to Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Brunswick. Browning joined the clinic in September and is accepting new patients.

Browning received a bachelor of health science from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York, and his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship from Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

Browning has three years of experience working as the team orthopedic surgeon for high schools and a community college as the team orthopedic surgeon. Prior to that, he served as the assistant team orthopedic surgeon for the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans and local high school football teams.

At Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Brunswick, Browning will specialize in the following sports medicine services:

  • Shoulder, hip, knee and ankle injuries.
  • Cartilage repair, replacement and regeneration.
  • Fracture care.
  • Knee and shoulder replacement.

Browning will join Dr. Ted Parcel, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult joint replacements and reconstruction, with experience in minimally invasive hip and knee replacements and reconstructions.
