WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – On Saturday, April 14, Novant Health will host a special event called “Living Well with Diabetes: Community Support Day,” featuring free health screenings and more at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Conference Center.
The free public event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will offer free A1C screenings, diabetes education for type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and a healthy lunch and door prizes.
Seminar topics are designed to empower diabetes patients to live their best lives. They include:

• Exercise
• Stress management
• Diabetes and children
• Prediabetes
• Diabetes survival skills
• Bariatric surgery
• Diabetes and heart disease
• Diabetes and pregnancy

• The importance of having a primary care provider, and more.
