Leland, N.C., March 8, 2017 – In March, Novant Health opened two new clinic locations in Leland, North Carolina. Both Novant Health Urology Partners and Novant Health Surgical Associates opened at 509 Olde Waterford Way, Suite 204, in Leland.
Novant Health Urology Partners offers comprehensive urology care. Dr. Lydia Laboccetta will now see patients at the Leland location in addition to the offices in Bolivia and Carolina Shores. She will take appointments in Leland on Fridays.
Laboccetta’s areas of interest include minimally invasive and robotic surgery, kidney stones, incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, as well as kidney and bladder cancers.
"While I care for both men and women, I know that some women really prefer to see a female urologist,” Laboccetta said. “I’m glad to be able to expand this care to Leland.”
Novant Health Urology Partners treats a wide variety of urologic conditions and disorders, including urologic cancers. Other procedures offered include vasectomies along with medicinal and surgical treatments for enlarged prostates, incontinence, kidney stone disease, male infertility and other urologic problems.

Novant Health Surgical Associates specializes in general, vascular and minimally invasive surgery, as well as surgical oncology. Dr. Matthew Benenati, a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon, will now see patients out of the Leland location on Tuesdays. He also sees patients at the Bolivia location.
Benenati treats conditions that include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), achalasia, benign esophageal and gastric disorders, hernias and diseases of the colon. He is also certified in robotic daVinci surgery.
“We are excited to expand our services to the Leland community,” Benenati said. “I am looking forward to caring for residents and families in Leland and the surrounding areas.”
