Winston-Salem, N.C. – The Women’s Council of Novant Health Foundation Forsyth Medical Center will announce recipients of $50,000 in grants to programs that focus on women’s health during its annual Garden Party on April 15 at 11 a.m. at Forsyth Country Club. With these new grants, the Women’s Council has provided nearly $475,000 to women’s health programs since 2008.

This is the first time Novant Health has submitted a system application for all pertinent hospitals, meaning all or none would be awarded the accreditation grade.

For 2015, the system reported a net income of $191.6 million on operating revenue of $4.1 billion. The system also reported a community benefit of $706.3 million, including $125.3 million of direct charity care.

Winston-Salem, North Carolina, March 24, 2016 – Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center has been named the lead hospital in North Carolina to hold aneurysm support group meetings for survivors and their loved ones. Joe Niekro Foundation chose the hospital due to their efforts to discover a treatment for cerebrovascular diseases. Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center is the only hospital in North Carolina to hold Joe Niekro Foundation-sponsored support group meetings.
Winston-Salem, North Carolina, March 23, 2016 – Novant Health is the first health system worldwide to be revalidated for the prestigious Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Analytics Stage 7 Ambulatory Award for its adoption and use of an electronic health record (EHR).
