Novant Health first in state to join federal- level Health Information Exchange Winston-Salem, N.C., November 13, 2014 On October 19, 2014, Novant Health became the first healthcare system in North Carolina to join the federal-level Health Information Exchange (HIE), eHealth Exchange managed by HealtheWay. Patient care coordination is simplified through the HIE by enabling providers across the country secure and instant access to Novant Health patient records.

Funds will support uninsured and underinsured women the greater Charlotte region. Charlotte, NC, November 7, 2014 – Novant Health Cancer Care is pleased to be the recipient of a grant in the amount of $100,000 from the proceeds of the 12th annual Avon Walk for Breast Cancer recently held in Charlotte. The Charlotte walk was the last of eight 2014 Avon Walks held across the country.

Auxiliary is donating $50,000 to special art project Winston-Salem, NC, Oct. 31, 2014 – The Novant Heath Forsyth Medical Center Auxiliary is celebrating its 50th anniversary this October. The program has contributed over three million volunteer hours and over $4 million in gifts since its inception in 1964. There are currently two charter members who are still volunteers.

Art Gallagher named vice president of Novant Health Foundation Presbyterian Medical Center and Novant Health community engagement Charlotte, NC – October 21, 2014 — Novant Health has hired Arthur J. Gallagher as the new vice president of Novant Health Foundation Presbyterian Medical Center and Novant Health community engagement. Gallagher joins Novant Health from Johnson & Wales University where he has served as Charlotte campus president since 2003.

Charlotte, NC – October 2, 2014 – Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center was presented a check for $25,000 from All-In to Fight Cancer, a local non-profit dedicated to increasing awareness and raising money for cancer support through annual Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments. Each year, All-In to Fight Cancer plays to benefit three local organizations, and this year, Novant Health Cancer Care’s nurse navigator program is a recipient.
