Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 8, 2015 – Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital has received a $2,500 grant from the Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. to help fund an art program for children receiving care. The Junior League of Charlotte will also provide 18 volunteers to staff the program.

Manassas, VA, September 3 – On Aug. 17, Novant Health Lake Manassas OB/GYN moved its South Riding location and extended its hours.  Proceeds to help improve healthcare in Brunswick County BOLIVIA, N.C., Aug. 31, 2015 – The Novant Health Foundation Brunswick Medical Center will host its fourth annual golf tournament at Sea Trail Golf Resort on Friday, Sept. 11. Prescriptions for controlled substances now delivered electronically in North Carolina Winston-Salem, N.C., Aug. 25, 2015 – Providers at Novant Health are now issuing electronic prescriptions for controlled substances in North Carolina, providing greater security and convenience for patients. Novant Health is the one of the first healthcare systems in North Carolina to offer the benefit to patients of electronic prescriptions for controlled substances (EPCS). It plans to roll out the program systemwide by year’s end.

Specialists have three locations serving Northern Virginia residents. Manassas, VA, August 24, 2015 – On July 15, Prince William Cardiology affiliated with Novant Health becoming Novant Health Prince William Cardiology. The affiliation applies to all three locations in Warrenton, Manassas and Haymarket in Northern Virginia. The Haymarket location opened in June.

Winston-Salem, N.C. - Neurosurgeon Rashid Janjua, MD, has joined the Novant Health Forsyth Brain and Spine practice located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Previously Dr. Janjua was assistant professor of neurosurgery, vascular surgery and radiology as well as director of the division of endo-cerebrovascular surgery and interventional stroke program at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

MyChart patient portal to integrate with Fitbit and Apple HealthKit Winston-Salem, NC, Aug. 19, 2015 – Beginning this month, Novant Health patients will be able to share data from their fitness tracker with their doctor through Novant Health’s electronic patient portal, MyChart.

Salisbury, N.C., August 11, 2015 - The Novant Health Foundation Rowan Medical Center has received a $250,000 grant from the Charles A. Cannon Charitable Trusts to help purchase 3-D mammogram technology for Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
