Winston-Salem, N.C. – June 25, 2014 – Novant Health announced today an expanded agreement to manage Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, N.C. Following a shared services agreement announced in January, 2014, the two organizations will enter into a deeper, more integrated partnership to reduce costs and expand services. Novant Health, in collaboration with the Morehead Board of Trustees, will place the CEO of Morehead.

Bolivia, NC, June 16, 2014 – At recent volunteer appreciation events, Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center leaders recognized the hospital’s 145 volunteers for the 31,941 hours of time they contributed to the hospital in 2013, as well as the numerous contributions home volunteers make to the medical center. 

Jeff Lindsay accepts position of executive vice president and chief operating officer for Novant Health. Winston-Salem, NC – May 23, 2014 – Jeff Lindsay has accepted the newly created position of executive vice president and chief operating officer for Novant Health effective June 1. In this role he will help position Novant Health for the growth and transformation the system will experience in the future. Lindsay will join Novant Health’s executive team in overseeing strategy for the entire organization.

Louisburg, NC,  May 19, 2014 – Novant Health Franklin Medical Center was named one of the 2013 Small Businesses of the Year at the annual Small Business Luncheon hosted by the Franklin County, Granville County, Vance County and Warren County chambers of commerce. Louisburg, NC, Apr. 29, 2014 – Novant Health Franklin Medical Center was awarded Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) by the American Association for Respiratory Care as part of a national program aimed at helping patients and families make informed decisions about the quality of respiratory care services available in hospitals.

What: On Tuesday the state of North Carolina’s Certificate of Need agency granted Novant Health Franklin Medical Center approval to move one rarely used operating room from the hospital to join a previously approved new operating room in Youngsville. The decision allows Novant Health Franklin Medical Center to move forward with plans to open a freestanding, multi-specialty outpatient surgery center with two operating rooms and one procedure room in Youngsville, NC.
