WINSTON-SALEM - Novant Health announced today that its Hanes Mall mass vaccination site (196 Hanes Mall Circle, Winston-Salem) has been open for a year, marking a milestone that includes more than 108,700 vaccine doses administered in the greater Winston-Salem community.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Due to increased demand for COVID-19 testing, Novant Health today announced that its COVID-19 testing location in Winston-Salem (190 Hanes Mall Circle, Winston-Salem, NC 27103) will expand operating hours to five days a week. Beginning Monday, Jan. 3, the site will be open by appointment only Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, the site will no longer be closed in observance of the holiday on Dec. 31, and will be open for appointments this day from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Following expanded emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Novant Health will begin offering Pfizer-BioNTech boosters to individuals age 16 and older on Monday, Dec. 13. Sixteen-and-17-year-olds can only receive a Pfizer-BioNTech booster while those who are 18 and older can receive any COVID-19 vaccine booster. KERNERSVILLE, N.C. – Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center broke ground today for its new 60,000-square-foot expansion, which will include the construction of a new fourth-floor birthing center. This will be the first time maternity care services have been offered at Kernersville Medical Center, which will provide a more convenient labor and delivery care option for expecting mothers in eastern Forsyth and western Guilford communities. The $55 million expansion project will also include the addition of medical beds, an expanded intensive care unit and the installation of a new heart and vascular lab.
