Novant Health administers first patient vaccines to seniors age 75 and older

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health today announced that it has started administering the COVID-19 vaccine to its first patients – North Carolina residents ages 75 and older – in keeping with the state’s distribution plan. The healthcare system continues to vaccinate team members within phase 1a of the prioritization framework, which includes heath care workers caring for and working directly with COVID-19 patients. To date, Novant Health has administered over 11,000 vaccines to team members and is administering hundreds more daily.

Novant Health launches online COVID-19 vaccine tool

The tool will utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning to seamlessly provide information about the COVID-19 vaccine.

Novant Health now offering flu shots at drive-thru locations

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health is now offering drive-thru flu vaccines at its COVID-19 screening centers located in Winston-Salem at the former Sears Auto Center at 190 Hanes Mall Circle and in Charlotte at the Central Piedmont Community College Harris campus parking deck at 3210 CPCC Harris Campus Drive. COVID-19 screenings will continue to be offered at these locations.

Mayor Vi Lyles joins Novant Health’s effort to overcome vaccine hesitancy

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In an effort to overcome vaccine hesitancy, Novant Health is partnering with Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles to encourage all community members to get vaccinated as soon as supply allows. The announcement follows recent national polling that shows a large number of citizens will opt out of getting vaccinated, citing concerns ranging from the vaccine being rushed to the vaccine having ulterior motives to its inequitable distribution.

Kim Henderson named Queens McColl School of Business Executive in Residence
