Hospital to add new bed tower to meet healthcare needs of growing community    MATTHEWS, N.C. – Novant Health Matthews Medical Center today broke ground on its four-story, 150,000 square-foot tower and 50,000 square-foot renovation project. With this $169 million expansion, Matthews Medical Center will be better positioned to meet the healthcare needs of this rapidly growing community.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – To improve access to the latest in specialty care for patients with multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders, Novant Health on June 15 will open a new clinic and infusion center inside of Novant Health SouthPark Medical Plaza, located at 6324 Fairview Road in Charlotte. The new and complementary care locations include Novant Health Multiple Sclerosis Care - SouthPark and Novant Health Infusion - SouthPark, both a department of Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. Novant Health Rheumatology & Arthritis - SouthPark, strategically located in the same third-floor suite, will also reopen on June 15 and treat patients for a wide variety of rheumatic conditions. Designed with the patient in mind, the new suite will allow patients in Charlotte and the surrounding area to receive all of their care, lab work, imaging and infusion treatments, in one convenient location. 

Shared ownership of HealthTeam Advantage would expand the reach of high-quality care and coverage to more seniors WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Cone Health and Novant Health have signed a Letter of Intent allowing Novant Health to make an investment in HealthTeam Advantage. HealthTeam Advantage (HTA) is a Medicare Advantage plan owned by Cone Health. It provides coverage for more than 15,000 Medicare beneficiaries throughout seven North Carolina counties. Due diligence is next. The deal is also subject to the customary regulatory reviews.

Partnership with Health Recovery Solutions for remote patient monitoring advances care delivery and improves patient outcomes  WINSTON-SALEM, NC, -- Novant Health, a not-for-profit integrated healthcare system headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina today announced the launch of a remote patient monitoring system in partnership with Health Recovery Solutions. WINSTON-SALEM -- The Duke Endowment recently awarded a $390,000 grant to Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation to provide advance care planning assistance for people facing chronic and serious illnesses. The grant will support Novant Health Choices and Champions® advance care planning facilitators who help people verbalize what matters most to them, identify their health care goals and name a health care champion. A health care champion is someone a person trusts to speak for the individual if that person is unable to make his or her own medical decisions.
