CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center (NHPMC) Foundation was awarded a $43,563.13 grant from Brave Beginnings, a program of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, to purchase a Dräger Babyleo isolette for the Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital (Hemby) neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The isolette provides the newest technology available to increase infant survival rates and ensure prompt delivery of care to NICU infants.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Hearst Foundations recently awarded a $125,000 grant to Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation to support Family Connects, a postpartum nurse home visit program in Forsyth and Davidson counties. The program provides free home visit services to all Forsyth County and Davidson County mothers and newborns who deliver at Forsyth Medical Center or Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center. Since 2016, the program has provided support for thousands of mothers and babies and connected families to nurturing community resources.

WINSTON-SALEM AND CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Novant Health, UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine have reached an agreement to expand medical education, research and clinical services to Novant Health facilities and other locations across North Carolina. This partnership will expand the recently approved relationship between these organizations in New Hanover County to include Mecklenburg, Forsyth and other counties, with an additional focus to find innovative solutions to enhance care in rural areas.

Winston-Salem, N.C. – Novant Health recently announced an adjustment to its current minimum wage from $12.50 per hour to $15 per hour. This change benefits more than 2,000 team members and will be effective January 2021.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― For the fourth year in a row, Novant Health has been recognized by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) in the “Digital Health Most Wired” program. The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired program conducts an annual survey to assess how effectively health care organizations apply core and advanced technologies into their clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities. New building creates access to comprehensive, advanced cardiovascular and cancer care under 1 roof CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health today announced its seven-story cardiovascular and cancer outpatient facility in the greater Charlotte market is complete. Officially named the Novant Health Claudia W. and John M. Belk Heart & Vascular Institute and Agnes B. and Edward I. Weisiger Cancer Institute, the $165.9 million, 260,000-square-foot investment consolidates all outpatient cardiac and cancer specialists, treatment services and support programs in one location. The building welcomed patients Monday, Oct. 12.
