WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― Novant Health has named John Gizdic as executive vice president and chief business development officer. In this role, Gizdic will oversee the development of Novant Health’s Eastern market and the corporate areas of integration, business development and sales, corporate health, and public safety. He will remain responsible for the coastal region, including New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC).

Winston-Salem, N.C., Jan. 28, 2021 – Through the coordinated efforts of Novant Health and Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, more than 400 school district employees received COVID-19 vaccines yesterday at Novant Health’s newly opened mass vaccination site at Hanes Mall.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health, a not-for-profit health care system serving the Carolinas, Virginia and Georgia, added three new members to the board of trustees: Lari Harding, Joia Johnson and John Lewis. WINSTON SALEM, N.C. (Jan. 14, 2021) – Novant Health today announced it will open six mass vaccination distribution sites across the state after a commitment by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) to increase its COVID-19 vaccine supply allocation. The health care system has requested 95,000 doses a week in order to meet high-demand and ensure equitable and efficient distribution of the vaccine. Locations will be added to include community and corporate partners soon.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health today announced that it has started administering the COVID-19 vaccine to its first patients – North Carolina residents ages 75 and older – in keeping with the state’s distribution plan. The healthcare system continues to vaccinate team members within phase 1a of the prioritization framework, which includes heath care workers caring for and working directly with COVID-19 patients. To date, Novant Health has administered over 11,000 vaccines to team members and is administering hundreds more daily.

The tool will utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning to seamlessly provide information about the COVID-19 vaccine.
