Novant Health offers online routine COVID-19 screening for hospital patients and visitors

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― In an effort to expedite the visitor screening process to enter Novant Health hospitals, the health system is offering an online routine COVID-19 screening questionnaire that patients and visitors are encouraged to complete prior to arrival. The screening questionnaire can be accessed at NovantHealth.org/visitorscreening or by scanning the QR code below. Patients and visitors will still receive a temperature assessment upon arrival.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health today announced its new comprehensive center for women’s health care needs is open to serve the women of the greater Charlotte market. The Women’s Center at Novant Health’s SouthPark Medical Plaza, a 36,000-square-foot space located on the fourth floor, houses 10 specialty clinics with convenient, concierge-like amenities, including: a guest services representative to greet and assist patients, appointment and referral coordinators and online scheduling with e-check in capabilities.

Novant Health launches a tele-ICU program to expand access to critical care services at community hospitals

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ―  While health care continues to advance technologically each year, the United States still faces a physician and nursing shortage in the acute care setting. Novant Health is working to address the national shortage of intensivists and critical care nurses at community hospitals through the launch of a new tele-ICU program. Strategically designed to help mitigate this gap in care, the tele-ICU program will enable remote monitoring and treatment of intensive care patients at community hospitals. This new technology will effectively improve access to critical care services and reduce the transfer rate to tertiary hospitals so patients may receive care closer to home.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― In a 4-1 vote on July 13, the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners approved Novant Health as the partner for New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC). Novant Health was the recommended partner by the Partnership Advisory Group (PAG), a 21-member group of hospital board of trustee members, physicians and members of the New Hanover community charged by the county and NHRMC to determine the future of NHRMC. The NHRMC board approved of the recommendation July 8.
