Novant Health reopens COVID-19 testing location at Hanes Mall

WINSTON-SALEM - Due to increased demand, Novant Health Medical Group will reopen its COVID-19 drive-through testing location at 190 Hanes Mall Circle, Winston-Salem, on Monday, Aug. 30. Located in the former Sears Auto Center, the testing site will operate Monday – Friday, from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. No appointments are required. Patients will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and the line may close prior to 3 p.m. to accommodate the closing time. 

Novant Health reopens COVID-19 testing location in East Mecklenburg

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Due to increased demand, Novant Health Medical Group will reopen its COVID-19 testing location in East Mecklenburg on Monday, August 30. Located at 6070 East Independence Blvd, Charlotte, the testing site will operate Monday – Friday, from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Appointments are required and walk-ins will not be accepted. Rapid tests are not available at this location.  

Novant Health hospitals update visitor restrictions

WINSTON-SALEM – As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in our communities, Novant Health is adjusting its visitor restrictions to help protect the health and safety of our patients and team members. As of Tuesday, Aug. 24, all patients except those with COVID-19 or who are patients under investigation for COVID-19, may have one overnight visitor. All hospital visitors must be 12 or older*, healthy, pass COVID-19 screening questions and wear a mask while on-site.

In response to increasing COVID-19 cases, Novant Health reminds community of resources available to them

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – In the last six weeks, Novant Health has seen a nearly 1,600% increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations. Today, more than 91% of COVID-19 patients in our hospitals are not vaccinated, and the average age of admitted patients is the lowest it has been since the pandemic started. In addition to the surging cases of COVID-19, our emergency departments are seeing higher than usual summer volumes of patients seeking care for other health concerns. In response, Novant Health is reminding the community of COVID-19 resources available to them.

Thomasville golf tournament to raise money for new wellness and education center

THOMASVILLE, N.C. – On Friday, Oct. 1, the Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center Foundation will host the fifth annual Jane Burt Williams Memorial Golf Classic at Colonial Country Club in Thomasville. All proceeds will go toward the construction of a new Wellness and Education Center on Thomasville Medical Center’s campus.

MyChart Bedside now available at 12 Novant Health hospitals

WINSTON-SALEM ― Novant Health announced today an expansion of MyChart Bedside to 12 hospitals across the communities it serves. MyChart Bedside is an extension of Novant Health’s patient portal, MyChart, and allows patients to access their health information on a tablet while in the hospital or from their own mobile device.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health announced today that it has been recognized for the second straight year as one of the “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion” by Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD). The health care system received a perfect score on the Disability Equality Index (DEI), a comprehensive benchmarking tool that gauges an organization’s level of disability workplace inclusion relative to other businesses.
