WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.― Nearly 16 months after the first COVID-19 cases hit North Carolina and six months into vaccine distribution, Novant Health announced today that it has administered over 500,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, which represents more than 253,000 fully vaccinated individuals. To mark this milestone, Novant Health has provided additional data that summarizes its efforts to-date of managing COVID-19 testing and treatment, as well as vaccine distribution.

The three free community events, which are scheduled on three different days in July and August, aim to support diverse local businesses, honor healthcare heroes and celebrate the milestones reached with the help of community members.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Over the last year, Novant Health has continued to expand access to primary and specialty care services in Greensboro at Novant Health Market Street Medical Plaza.

Due to decreased demand, Novant Health today announced changes to its operating hours at three permanent vaccination sites. Effective Wednesday, May 19th, both the Hanes Mall and East Meck locations will reduce operating hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, closing at 3 p.m. Novant Health’s Salisbury location will now be closed on Mondays.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Today, Novant Health announced the deployment of its mobile health units to priority ZIP codes across all of its markets in an effort to provide easier access to the COVID-19 vaccine and increase vaccination acceptance. Each week, mobile events will be held at high-traffic locations such as grocery stores and residential areas, including public housing communities and homeless shelters, to provide up to 250 doses of vaccine during each event.
