WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― For the fourth year in a row, Novant Health has been recognized by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) in the “Digital Health Most Wired” program. The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired program conducts an annual survey to assess how effectively health care organizations apply core and advanced technologies into their clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities. Novant Health scored a 9 out of 10 in acute care.

New building creates access to comprehensive, advanced cardiovascular and cancer care under 1 roof CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health today announced its seven-story cardiovascular and cancer outpatient facility in the greater Charlotte market is complete. Officially named the Novant Health Claudia W. and John M. Belk Heart & Vascular Institute and Agnes B. and Edward I. Weisiger Cancer Institute, the $165.9 million, 260,000-square-foot investment consolidates all outpatient cardiac and cancer specialists, treatment services and support programs in one location. The building welcomed patients Monday, Oct. 12.

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to welcome back Dr. Jarrod Sheatsley to Novant Health Oceanside Family Medicine & Convenient Care in Shallotte. Sheatsley returns to the clinic on Oct. 12.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― In a 4-1 vote today, Novant Health was approved to partner with New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) by the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners. The agreement was signed by both health care systems and New Hanover County. The approved partnership will also expand NHRMC’s medical education and clinical capabilities by increasing the services and training presently offered by UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine at NHRMC.

WILMINGTON, N.C. ― A survey conducted by a third party on behalf of Novant Health found 72% of the survey respondents believe a partnership between Novant Health, New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) and UNC School of Medicine would have an overall positive impact on the community and only 10% felt there would be a negative impact.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― Novant Health is proud to announce that 15 of its acute care facilities have been recognized as “Leaders in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization. This is the fourth year in a row that Novant Health has received systemwide recognition.

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Benjamin Browning to Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Brunswick. Browning joined the clinic in September and is accepting new patients.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Beginning Sept. 10, Novant Health will restructure its respiratory assessment and screening centers to one central location in Winston-Salem. The new screening center will open Monday, Sept. 14, at the former Sears Auto Center located at 190 Hanes Mall Circle. Hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Screenings are available without a referral or appointment.
