WILMINGTON, N.C. – Novant Health Medical Group, inclusive of NHRMC Physician Group, added 49 new providers and two new clinics to its coastal North Carolina offerings in 2021.
New clinics
Novant Health Medical Group opened two new clinics in 2021 in Brunswick County. The Novant Health Cancer Institute opened a new location offering gynecological oncology services in Carolina Shores. Meanwhile, Novant Health Express at Walgreens - Leland offers care for patients with common illnesses and minor injuries age two and older on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Additionally, Novant Health has an expanded relationship with UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine. Through that partnership, Novant Health Medical Group is working to improve access to high-quality outpatient pediatric specialty care available locally through Novant Health UNC Children’s.
New providers
Nearly 50 new providers based in the Coastal region joined the Novant Health Medical Group in 2021, including 23 new physicians.
These new providers include eight new providers caring for hospitalized patients, six new providers specializing in heart care, and five new providers specializing in neurology care.
