CHARLOTTE, N.C. ― Today Novant Health announced the addition of its first pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Erin Kiehna. Kiehna’s experience, along with her passion for helping children, gives families greater access to expert neurosurgical care close to home.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center broke ground today for its new four-story, 50,000-square-foot hospital wing and 20,000-square-foot renovation project that will include 48 additional patient beds, an operating room, and renovations to several areas. With this $50 million expansion, Huntersville Medical Center will become a 139-bed hospital that is prepared to meet the healthcare needs of one of the fastest-growing communities in the Charlotte area.  

“King of the Court” volleyball fundraiser donates over $5,500 to hospital foundation   SALISBURY, N.C.  ― Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation partnered with Rowan-Salisbury area high schools to host the second annual King of the Court, a junior and senior all-male volleyball fundraiser. Together, the six area high schools raised over $5,500. All proceeds will be donated to the hospital foundation in support of its breast health fund which covers the cost of mammograms, diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds for women who are uninsured or underinsured.

Winston-Salem, N.C., – Dr. Jennifer Chapman has joined Novant Health Surry Medical Associates in Mount Airy, North Carolina, and started this fall. She specializes in family medicine, and is accepting new patients.  Office appointments are available Monday through Friday.

Souffrant is board-certified in family medicine and holds a doctor of medicine from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida.
