Novant Health Brunswick Endoscopy Center is open

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health Brunswick Endoscopy Center opened Monday, April 16, and is Brunswick County’s first, freestanding outpatient endoscopy center. Patients now have access to a wide variety of endoscopy services, including colonoscopies and endoscopies, in a convenient location.

North Carolina High School Performance Combine hosted by Novant Health Sports & Performance Medicine powered by EXOS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health will host the “North Carolina High School Performance Combine” at Hough High School, in Cornelius, North Carolina, Saturday, April 21, at 9 a.m. High school athletes are encouraged to participate to see where they rank in relation to local and national competition. Data will be given after the event, allowing the athletes to track their own individual progress. 

14 Novant Health medical centers highlighted in 2018 Healthcare Equality Index

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health is proud to announce that 14 of its acute care facilities have been recognized as “Leaders in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization. This the second year in a row that the Novant Health has received systemwide recognition. Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center made its first appearance this year in its first year as a full-service hospital following the facility’s 2017 expansion.

Novant Health reports 2017 audited financial results

Health system invests in people and communities WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health today announced 2017 audited financial results for the year ended Dec. 31. For 2017, Novant Health reported net income of $477.9 million on operating revenues of $4.6 billion. The not-for-profit health system also reported $794.4 million in total community benefit (including charity care and unpaid cost of Medicare and Medicaid), up from $725.5 million in 2016. Novant Health provided $138.9 million in financial assistance to members of our communities in 2017.

Dr. Vincent J. Pompili to lead Novant Health Heart and Vascular Institute

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Novant Health is adding a new physician service line leader, Dr. Vincent J. Pompili, MD, as it continues to expand its heart and vascular capabilities. Pompili will lead heart and vascular services — including cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery — across the Novant Health system’s four-state area.
