WINSTON-SALEM, NC-- Novant Health is pleased to announce that Leslie Barrett has been named as president and chief operating officer of Novant Health Medical Park Hospital.
Barrett replaces former president and chief operating officer Kirsten Royster, who recently moved into the same role at Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center.
In addition to her new position, Barrett will continue in her role as Novant Health’s system vice president of surgical and anesthesia services. In that role, she oversees regulatory compliance, facility needs, financial health, quality and systemwide patient outcomes. She has served as the system vice president of surgical and anesthesia services since 2015 and has held a variety of leadership roles in this clinical area since 2008.
Barrett is a certified registered nurse anesthetist and earned her degree from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia in Providence, Rhode Island, and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Health Administration (MHA) degrees from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Novant Health Medical Park Hospital is a 22-bed hospital on South Hawthorne Road in Winston-Salem, specializing in elective, outpatient and short-stay surgeries. Services include blood services, imaging, orthopedics, surgery and women’s health.
