Wallace lead gift brings $12 million capital campaign closer to goal     SALISBURY, N.C. - Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation revealed the name of its new cancer center and recognized local residents Lee and Mona Lisa Wallace for their lead gift to its capital campaign during a special event Wednesday evening. The Wallace Cancer Center, expected to open the summer of 2020, will consolidate cancer services and programs into one location, creating a single destination for patients.

Novant Health will focus its charitable contributions and strategic investments on improving outcomes in three areas: health and human services, environment and education.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – To best meet the needs of our Winston-Salem community and those taking shelter from severe weather during Hurricane Florence, Novant Health Urgent Care – North Point Blvd. will be temporarily extending clinic hours to 18 hours a day, beginning today.

Novant Health is making extensive preparations for the life-threatening conditions that Hurricane Florence is forecasted to bring to our communities later this week. CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health recently opened  Novant Health Pelvic Health and Surgery in the South Park area. The clinic is located at 6324 Fairview Road, Suite 390, and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Salisbury, N.C.– Physicians, leaders and clinicians recently gathered at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center to celebrate its Center of Distinction Award. This recognition is given by Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal. There were 635 centers eligible for the Center of Distinction Award, but only 427 received the honor.

Atrium Health and Novant Health develop joint initiative to support professional growth CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health and Atrium Health are announcing an initiative to support the professional development and advancement of certified nursing assistants (CNAs) to the position of registered nurse (RN). Atrium Health and Novant Health are piloting this CNA-to-RN scholarship program for CNAs in the Charlotte area as a joint ONE Charlotte Health Alliance effort. The first scholarships have been offered to 10 CNAs – five at each health system – interested in becoming registered nurses.

This clinic is the first of its kind in Rowan County SALISBURY, N.C. – Novant Health Pelvic Health Center has opened a new location at 1904 Jake Alexander Blvd. W., Suite 303, in Salisbury, North Carolina. The clinic is open Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., by appointment. 

 HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. - Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center joins an elite group of North Carolina hospitals that have received international recognition as Baby-Friendly Designated birth facilities. This is Novant Health’s seventh facility to become designated Baby-Friendly.
