CHARLOTTE, N.C.  ― Carolina Surgical of Charlotte has joined Novant Health Medical Group, the physician division of Novant Health.  The group of five board-certified surgeons provides both general and specialty surgical care and includes Drs. Ilan D. Avin, Wyatt C. Fowler, Carl J. Lowe, Jr., Michael G. Melkonian and Peter S. Turk. The group is also supported by advanced practice clinicians, Jessica Michalak and Lauren Sandberg, and registered dietitian, Victoria Levesque. Its new name will be Novant Health Carolina Surgical.    

WINSTON-SALEM - The Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center Foundation hosted a ribbon-cutting event Saturday, July 22 for the naming of the Golding Conference Rooms. The event commemorated a generous recent donation from Golding Farms Foods owners and Clemmons community leaders, Tony and Vi Golding, pictured with James Torrible, chief development officer of Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center Foundation, far left, and Chad Setliff, president of Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center, far right. The Goldings are supporting the new expansion of Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center and the Clemmons community through this generous donation and wished to share their enthusiasm with friends and neighbors.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carolinas HealthCare System and Novant Health today announce a partnership to merge critical patient information, which will give providers access to the important patient records they need for improving quality and coordination of care for patients who see providers at both health systems in a secure environment.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Susan G. Komen Charlotte has awarded $169,256 in grant funding to Novant Health cancer prevention, education and early detection to provide mammography screenings and diagnostic services for underinsured and uninsured individuals in Mecklenburg County and surrounding communities. Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center received a $101,018 grant, and Novant Health Matthews and Huntersville medical centers received a $68,238 award.

BOLIVIA, N.C. – In July, Novant Health will expand endocrinology services to Brunswick County with the opening of Novant Health Endocrinology. The office will be temporarily located at Novant Health Family & Internal Medicine South Brunswick at 75 Emerson Bay Road SW, Suite 102, in Carolina Shores. It will move to its new location later this year.
