WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to welcome both Dr. Richard Jackson and Dr. Todd Derreberry to Novant Health Psychiatric Medicine in Winston-Salem. The physicians joined the Novant Health team in recent months and are currently accepting new patients.
Jackson’s specialties include general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. He completed a child psychiatry fellowship at the University of Virginia Health System from 2014 to 2016 and before that was a general psychiatry resident at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Jackson served as a volunteer Spanish interpreter for a free medical clinic and worked for Carolina Donor Services from 2000 to 2007. He received a bachelor’s degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and completed medical school at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Derreberry comes to Novant Health from Marshall University School of Medicine, where he was a faculty member from 2014 to 2016. He completed a geriatric psychiatry fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2013 to 2014, and before that was a general psychiatry resident at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Derreberry completed both his bachelor’s degree and medical school at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
