CLEMMONS, N.C.– On Wednesday, August 2, Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center became a full-service hospital with the completion of its $49 million expansion. With the expansion, Clemmons Medical Center added 36 medical surgical beds, six observation beds and three additional operating rooms. Clemmons Medical Center will now have an increased focus on orthopedic care, including joint replacement, and a new healthcare delivery model that allows shorter hospital stays at lower costs.
“Our goal for the expansion of Clemmons Medical Center is to better serve the residents of Clemmons and surrounding communities,” said Chad Setliff, president of Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center. “The expansion is further proof of our commitment to this community and we are excited to bring new services to the village of Clemmons."
Clemmons Medical Center first opened in 2013 with an emergency room, two operating rooms along with diagnostic imaging, laboratory and surgical services. Imaging, post-anesthesia care and laboratory services were expanded with the addition of 110,000 square feet. New services include orthopedics, infusion and transitional care.

Novant Health has 20 care locations within the village of Clemmons and the surrounding areas, including family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, cardiology, orthopedics, nutrition, general surgery and express care.
