WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Kirsten Royster has been appointed the new president of Novant Health Medical Park Hospital. She has nearly 20 years of experience in a variety of hospital and medical group roles, including vice president of the Heart & Vascular Institute at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
Royster will begin serving as president of Medical Park Hospital at the end of June and will maintain leadership of the ob-gyn service line in the greater Winston-Salem market including the Novant Health Maya Angelou Women’s Health & Wellness Center. Royster has served in a variety of managerial positions within Novant Health, including vice president of Novant Health medical group specialty practice operations, senior director of operations, senior director of support services, and director of patient access and transcription. She began her career at Novant Health in 2005 as a director of patient access and transcription, responsible for all areas of patient access at Forsyth Medical Center.
Royster fills the role of Chad Setliff, who has been an exceptional leader for Medical Park Hospital over the last two years. With this change, he will now focus his time leading operations at Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center and Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center. He will also maintain his leadership of the musculoskeletal service line for the greater Winston-Salem market.
Royster holds a Bachelor of Science in healthcare policy and administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Master of Public Health in health policy and administration from Emory University.
