Novant Health reports 2017 audited financial results

Health system invests in people and communities WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health today announced 2017 audited financial results for the year ended Dec. 31. For 2017, Novant Health reported net income of $477.9 million on operating revenues of $4.6 billion. The not-for-profit health system also reported $794.4 million in total community benefit (including charity care and unpaid cost of Medicare and Medicaid), up from $725.5 million in 2016. Novant Health provided $138.9 million in financial assistance to members of our communities in 2017.

Dr. Vincent J. Pompili to lead Novant Health Heart and Vascular Institute

Novant Health expands behavioral health services to Concord

New clinic offers community additional access to outpatient psychiatric therapy         CONCORD, N.C. – Novant Health has expanded its behavioral health services to Concord with the recent opening of Novant Health Psychiatry. The new outpatient clinic provides children, adolescents and adults with diagnosis and treatment of mental health concerns, including anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, anger and chronic irritability, and other mood disorders.

Girls on the Run Charlotte Launches Camp Program with Novant Health

Novant Health Endocrinology relocates to Shallotte

The clinic was temporarily located at Novant Health Family and Internal Medicine South Brunswick in Carolina Shores and has now moved to 204 Smith Avenue in Shallotte. 

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center adds palliative care partner

Lower Cape Fear Hospice offering full-time palliative care support at Brunswick Medical Center BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center recently established a formal partnership with Lower Cape Fear Hospice for palliative care, or specialized services for patients with serious, advanced and/or chronic illness at any stage. With the newly established partnership, Anne Weatherford, nurse practitioner with Lower Cape Fear Hospice, will provide full-time palliative care services at Novant Health.

Novant Health lifts flu-related visitor restrictions

As flu cases decline, visitors of all ages can return to local hospitals WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – As of Friday, March 16 at 7 a.m., all but one acute care Novant Health facility will lift visitor restrictions which were put in place Jan 12. The one medical center not lifting visitor restrictions at this time is Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center.
