WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Novant Health is improving access to patients' health information through a new MyChart collaboration, called "Happy Together," that went live on Sunday, Jan. 14. The collaboration between the two largest Winston-Salem healthcare organization, Novant Health and Wake Forest Baptist Health, improves patient care by merging critical health information for patients.

SALISBURY, N.C. ―  Novant Health Salisbury Surgical Associates has recently expanded with the addition of board-certified general surgeon Dr. Rosemary Chickos and physician assistant Jennifer Smith. They join surgeons Dr. Eric Mallico, Dr. Gavin Misner and Dr. Leon Newman.  

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation has been awarded a $75,000 grant from Colon Cancer Coalition with funds raised through the 2017 Get Your Rear in Gear® event held in Charlotte during March, which is colon cancer awareness month. The funding will be used for colonoscopy screenings, patient living expenses, and colon cancer rehabilitation and wellness services for Novant Health uninsured or underinsured colorectal cancer patients.

To meet this consumer demand for information, Novant Health is launching online reviews of Novant Health Medical Group physicians based on data collected through patient experience surveys.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center broke ground today for its new four-story, 50,000-square-foot hospital wing and 20,000-square-foot renovation project that will include 48 additional patient beds, an operating room, and renovations to several areas. With this $50 million expansion, Huntersville Medical Center will become a 139-bed hospital that is prepared to meet the healthcare needs of one of the fastest-growing communities in the Charlotte area.
