 Philanthropic partnership to help underserved children and their families in Charlotte   CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health and Michael Jordan today announced a $7 million gift to open two Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Clinics in Charlotte. These comprehensive medical clinics will serve some of the most at-risk and underserved communities in Charlotte and are expected to open in late 2020.

SALISBURY, N.C. – For the first time, Novant Health Primary Care Salisbury will host a community skin cancer screening on Friday, Oct. 20, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 1904 Jake Alexander Blvd. W., Suite 303. Dermatology Group of the Carolinas will be on-site to conduct the screenings.

Novant Health Oceanside Family Medicine in Southport has relocated and changed names BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health’s family medicine clinic at the new Pine Forest Plantation community on Highway 211 in Brunswick County is officially open. Novant Health Oceanside Family Medicine in Southport has relocated and is now called Novant Health Family Medicine Pine Forest. The new address of the clinic is 2950 Pine Plantation Parkway in Bolivia. The clinic will have an open house Thursday, Oct. 26 from 3 to 6 p.m.                                

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health unveiled the completion of its new three-story, 89,000-square-foot facility tower to its existing Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital on Thursday. The nearly 46-year-old facility, located at 1901 Randolph Road at the corner of Fifth Street and Caswell Road, is the region’s only hospital dedicated entirely to orthopedics and spine and is one of a few of its kind in the nation.

Breast surgical oncologist joins growing team of cancer specialists   HUNTERSVILLE, N.C.  – Novant Health has expanded women’s health and breast cancer surgical programs with the addition of breast surgical oncologist, Dr. Lori Gentile. Gentile specializes in the treatment of breast cancer and uses the most up-to-date techniques to perform all aspects of breast cancer surgery, including breast conservation (lumpectomy), mastectomy, nipple-sparing mastectomy, and axillary lymph node procedures.
